This course will lay a foundation for discipleship-counseling. The issues of our identity in Christ, faith, battle for the mind, healing damaged emotions, resolving personal and spiritual conflicts in order to enable God's leaders to find their freedom in Christ from such conflicts are discussed. Students will examine the worldview underlying our life and ministry, the nature of the spiritual life and the position, authority, power, protection, and vulnerability of the believer. The purpose is to enable the student to minister to those in spiritual conflict in a controlled and compassionate way and to train others to do the same in their cross-cultural context.
