About CIT

CIT SignCIT is a partnership of missional agencies, churches and organizations dedicated to training and equipping missionaries and their families for cross-cultural ministry.

Students attend courses at CITʼs 28 acre campus located near the mountains of western North Carolina. The quiet campus provides the ideal environment to build cross-cultural awareness and skills in a community-based learning environment.

CIT offers a range of courses from biblical intensives to language acquisition. All of our courses are taught by career cross-cultural workers and professionals with expertise and proven experience in their field.

Statement of FaithBack to top

We believe that

  • The Bible is the divinely inspired and authoritative Word of God;
  • The Triune God exists in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
  • The personality of Satan, called the Devil and his present control over unregenerate mankind;
  • The fall and lost estate of man, whose lostness makes necessary the new birth;
  • The deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, death, bodily resurrection, present exaltation at God's right hand, and personal return;
  • The atonement by the subsitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior;
  • The power of the Holy Spirit to give unbelievers a new life in Christ. The Spirit works faith in the believer and enables him to repent of sin, live a godly life, and be empowered for service;
  • The resurrection of the saved to everlasting life in heaven and the resurrection of the unsaved to everlasting punishment in hell;
  • The Church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consisting only of those who are born again, for whom He now makes intercession in heaven and for whom He shall come again;
  • The Great Commission of Jesus Christ to "go and make disciples of all nations."
