Third Culture Kids Programs
Because CIT believes that field preparation is imperative for the entire family, we are
committed to providing quality training and care for our trainees with children.
Kid's/YOUTH Intercultural Training
We at CIT believe that children need to feel secure and better informed about their role
as a Third Culture Kid (TCK). Often, children have many questions about their future home,
friends, etc., that go unspoken. Our TCK programs enable children to explore and
verbalize their concerns.
Each course includes Bible study, Bible memory, culturally relevant books, DVDs,
games, crafts from other lands, art, music, food, and plenty of discussion about what life
will be like as a TCK.
Our KIT and YIT classes are taught by veteran missionaries and parents of TCKs Kathy
Schultz and John and Bonnie Edwards.
*Please note that the age breakdown for class assignments are considered flexible in
that registered children will ultimately be placed in the class appropriate for them.

The CIT Childcare workers strive to provide a warm, happy environment that children
actually look forward to coming to each day. We realize that most of the children placed
in our care are by-in-large unfamiliar with the day-to-day experience of nurseries and
childcare.
We are sensitive to the fact that this is often a difficult time for both parent and child and
we do everything we can to make it as "painless" as we possibly can!
Childcare facilities: The CIT Childcare facility includes a large kid-friendly activity room,
which has tables and chairs, toys, plenty of children's videos and books, with easy (adult) access to the outside. There are also crib rooms
and a separate classroom for 3–5 year olds.
Childcare staff: CIT Childcare providers place a high emphasis on the work ethic and
are committed to our values and also to the children in our care. Each has passed a
criminal background check and has references attesting to their character and ability to
care for your children. Gina Searcy teaches and heads up the Childcare and Pre-KIT programs. She has taught both pre-school and kindergarten in private schools.
