CIT Programs

"Endurance," Webster defines as "the ability to withstand hardship or stress." Research has shown that stress associated with cross-cultural entry and transition, ministry ambiguity, and conflict are major contributors to dissatisfaction and attrition. It also points out that the agencies with the lowest attrition have 50% more training requirements.

CIT has designed its entire program to offer a solution to this significant problem (click on title for a description):

Core-five
Mini-Core
Kid Korner
Bible Intensives
debrief & reentry
Church planting Training
TESL

For a moderate time and cost commitment, CIT students are anchored with skills to help them survive the storms of cross-cultural entry and move toward long-lasting and more effective ministry...to finish the race set before them!

Individual Modules: Some students find they need only one or two modules from CIT's integrated schedule. For a complete listing of those modules, their descriptions, dates & rates, click here.

“As mature Christians, we think we know the Bible (and ourselves) well enough to become missionaries. But in the relative isolation of the North Carolina mountains, we found out how much we don't know and how God-sized the work is. We live in a community something like the church in Acts and build and test relationships like never before. We learned to use the Bible to question and answer what we heard taught...I can't imagine what a mess I'd have made of things if I had gone to the field without CIT."
